Manes on Main is a barbershop and salon specializing in haircuts and styling, traditional straight razor shaves and facial hair grooming, as well as a variety of specialized services designed to meet the unique needs of Deerington's Sleeper population. These include treatments designed for individuals whose physiology differs from that of a traditional human. In addition, Manes on Main carries a line of products specifically developed and formulated for use by those whose physical characteristics might include feathers, fur, scales, shells, and more.

Wrench is continually working to develop new products, formulas, and treatments with the oversight of those who may find themselves under- or misserved by the traditional drugstores and health counters. He is also working to expand his line of services to those with enhanced powers and capabilities whose bodies might suffer a unique toll due to their abilities.

The shop is nestled in a small, reclaimed building along a strip of other businesses on E. Main Street. The wood and brick are exposed and show signs of natural wear, and the decor is largely industrial, with a few vintage reclaims on the wall. Examples of hairstyles and facial grooming options are provided on the wall along with corresponding numbers for customers who would prefer to point, but several posters display the American Sign Language manual alphabet and simple vocabulary words to allow those interested to practice and learn as they wait.

NOTE: On the afternoon of December 11, 2019, Wrench was trapped and killed by the deadlights just outside of the barbershop. After returning to life and banishing his ghost, the following statue has become a permanent fixture that stands in front of the building, welcoming all patrons:

Wrench is currently testing and developing a line of products to meet the specific needs of Deerington residents whose unique physiology may not be served by traditional health and beauty lines. This includes shampoos and conditioners, lotions, waxes, astringents, and (possibly) an upcoming line of handcrafted grooming tools.

If your character could benefit from a product not frequently provided by drugstores and health counters and would be willing to work with Wrench on testing and development, please let him know. During the testing phase these items will be provided free of charge, until the appropriate formulation is reached.

• Cleansing Shampoo

A gentle cleanser for all hair types, this shampoo removes build-up of synthetic and environmental byproducts, and works to purify invasive thoughts. Application of this shampoo will cleanse the mind of negative thoughts and recent trauma to restore a sense of calm in its user. 10 uses per bottle.

THREE BOTTLES AVAILABLE

• Clarifying Conditioner

Massage into the hair and watch as both strands and mental uncertainties are detangled as if by magic. After application, the user will have an instantaneous empathetic bond with the next person they touch. This bond will allow the individual to clearly understand that person's feelings and motivations. 6 uses per bottle.

• Healing Body Lotion

This luxurious body lotion hydrates parched skin and creates a protective barrier around its wearer. For up to one hour following application, any liquids the person encounters will roll harmlessly off all applied areas. It is safe for use on skin, fur, feathers, shells, and any other feature that makes up the body of a sentient being. The bottle is large enough for five full-body applications to an average-sized person. 5 hours total protection.

Running this wide-toothed comb through one's hair will create a harmless, glimmering, sparkly effect which lasts up to 24 hours. This can be washed out prematurely, but brushing again will bring it right back. Can be used on the head or the body. Good for all textures of hair and fur. Unlimited use.
